Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a minimum quantity required for DTG printing?

There are no minimums required to order our DTG printed t-shirts, so you get one for yourself or one for all your mates. For orders over 12pcs, screen printing maybe a better option. If you want to know which option is better for you, feel free to call us on 09 6200040 or email dtg@esponline.co.nz and we can discuss the options.

How long will my order take to arrive?

This depends on when you placed your order, but our DTG printed orders are usually printed next day and delivered within 2-4 business days. If you live in Auckland you can request next day delivery if your order is received before 10 am. The average turnaround for our screen printing department is 5 days from the day your quote & art has been approved until it ships.

What's the difference between screen printing and digital printing?

Our DTG Machine prints your design directly onto the garment using DuPont CMYK inks that have been specifically developed for cotton fabric. Similar to ink jet printers, this technique allows you to print millions of colours making it a perfect choice for full-colour photographs. Unlike screen printing which requires an extensive set up for each new design, DTG printing allows us to offer custom tees with no minimum order requirement. Screen printing is a more traditional t-shirt customisation method in which each colour in a design is separated and burned to individual fine-mesh screens. Ink is then transferred to the shirt through the screen. Screen printing is more cost-effective for printing large custom apparel orders.

How big can you print?

Our DTG printer can print your design up to 270mm x 350mm. If this is not big enough, our Screen Printing department offers oversize printing for orders over 20pcs.

Can you Screen Print my order?

Absolutely! If you want to order more than 10-20 garments our Screen Printing department can produce some exceptional results. For more information about our Screen Printing service and how to obtain a quote go to www.esponline.co.nz

How durable is DTG Printing?

Direct to Garment printing offers great colour fastness and washability, however unlike a screen print which can handle being abused by hot wash cycles and hot dryers, a DTG print does require a little more care. We recommended washing your shirt inside out in a gentle cold wash and hang dry or tumble at the lowest temperature. For DTG and screen printing NEVER iron the print, bleach or dry clean your shirt.

Can I make changes after my order has been placed?

At ESP DTG we aim to produce your shirts super quick, but unfortunately, that means we can't guarantee that changes can be made after you've submitted your order. To avoid issues, we recommend double-checking your order before you place it. Of course, if you do happen to make an error on your order, feel free to contact us on 09 6200040 or email us at dtg@esponline.co.nz and we will do our best to help.

Does ESP DTG offer sleeve printing?

Yes, but only for screen printed orders. Unfortunately, at this time, it is not possible for ESP DTG to print sleeves. If you have a sleeve print design in mind call us on 09 6200040 or email us at sales@esponline.co.nz and we can advise you of the options and minimum requirements.

Can I resell shirts I've purchased from ESP DTG?

Of course! You can resell shirts you've purchased from ESP DTG as long as they use a design you own the rights to or have permission to use for the purpose of reselling.
